At the origins of the Pont du Gard
🔆 [Attention, masterpiece] 🔆 In 150 days, the participants of Veni Vici will have the opportunity to venture onto the Pont du Gard, a major tourist site in France. The highest ancient aqueduct bridge in the world (50 meters) built on three levels, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985. The structure has been remarkably well-preserved for over 2000 years.
❓ Have you ever wondered why it is located there, in the middle of nature, spanning the Gardon River and withstanding all crises and storms? 💧 From the 1st century AD, for several centuries, water flowed through its upper part. It was brought from the Eure Valley (Uzès) to the city of Nîmes, whose growth was closely tied to the supply of drinking water, as well as the development of baths, fountains, and gardens. 🌿
⚒ The Roman builders had to demonstrate great ingenuity to construct bridges and tunnels through the rugged landscapes, to reach Nemausus, with over 35,000 m3 of water transported every day over a total distance of 52 km and a mere 17-meter elevation difference! When you set foot on the Pont du Gard while running or hiking on November 11, think about it 😉

🔆 [Iconic Location] 🔆 Known for its race circuit and castle, the village of Lédenon (at the 30th kilometer mark) will be the first major challenge for the participants of the 72 km and 44 km routes in the Veni Vici 2023.
If you’re already feeling exhausted, seriously, don’t mess around. Take a good break at the refreshment station to recharge your batteries because the rest of the journey to reach Pont du Gard will be as challenging as it is beautiful. 🔥 It would be a shame not to fully enjoy it.
🌿 The really cool thing is that this year the arrival in Lédenon will be through a new balcony path, offering a lovely panorama of the village and its surroundings. 🌿 Regardless of the pain, you just need to keep your eyes wide open!

Paris Marathon, what a success!
🔆 TOURISM, SPORT & HERITAGE are definitely a GREAT combination 🔆 La Veni Vici booth was one of the most popular on Saturday at the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris Run Experience exhibition (52,000 participants, including 35% of foreign runners) 👟🎽 To put it simply: we were CRUSHED for 9 hours non-stop.
🥊 OPERATION SUMMARY:
🥇 35 kg of olives from a Gard producer distributed,
🥇 100 freshly brewed cans of la Veni Vici beer disappeared in no time,
🥇 300,000 wheel turn (at least) made to try to win a Veni Vici prize.
🥇 More than 1500 participants in just a few hours in the online contest organized in partnership with Gard Tourisme and Nîmes Tourisme (a stay worth 500€ to be won until April 23rd on www.lavenivici.com/jeu2),
🥇 No paper flyers on the booth.
